I've never done any anchor text before (still learning) and Ive been reading up a little, anyway I added a new blog and included some anchor text - from what I gathered the anchor text looks exactly the same as normal text but the search engine reads it differently - is this correct?

Can I overdo the anchor text in 1 page, should I have anchor text throughout my website, I assume keywords as anchor text is a must?

This is my recent blog and if you didn't guess the word fire is the anchor text, I admit I think I've over done it but not sure how much to put in and should it look like normal text?

hmmm ok I'll go back and read some more, I think I just want to achieve anchor text which you mentioned above. I guess one of the biggest mistakes is everyone has 'click here' as anchor text?

For SEO keywords in the anchor text will do you more good than something like "click here"

You cant over do it, or your page will be regarded as link farm by google.

Well, SunstarShop is correct. do not overdo your Hyperlinked Keywords in you blog.
Just hyperlinked it the 1st and last paragraph of your blog. Make it bold if possible.
Putting hyperlinks in "click here" would be ok as long as it is not part of your SEO. (the url inside it).

I think what Chris is saying is that those comments are incorrect

As far as I can tell, you have been using anchor text on your blog but not actually linking it to anything.

If you are using anchor text purely for SEO purposes (and bear in mind that priority should go to the viewer of the site, not the robots etc.) then the benefit comes from anchor text linked to the page in question not on the page in question.

The best thing you can do is to make a site that will be enjoyed by the viewer and as an extra bonus, try and get a few backlinks from outside websites

And that's putting it nicely

Well I did use anchor name but realised that the text after a href link is also anchor text so I reverted to what I was doing originally
