Aside from following the rules and regulations, what are the things you need to remember with regards to forum posting?

Try posting something useful instead of regurgitated junk!!!!

avoid things like fake sigs, don't link to inappropriate websites. Don't try linking to a ton of websites. Don't use cut & paste responses. Don't be spammy or flood the forum!

basically it boils down to using common sense.

Just read what you have typed before you post it and ask yourself

a) Will anyone find this useful?
b) Is my motivation to write this a good one?
c) Has someone else already written this on this thread?

And most importantly....

d) Am I correct???

Right on 'bro! I'm probably guilty of this in the past - especially when starting out - then you really learn.

I've seen so much crap in other forums it's really ridiculous. So yeah - make sure you know what the heck you are talking about and make sure you are right about an answer that you post. Who knows...you might get thanked.

do remember that a forum is a community. its not just about being able to post but its about being able to interact. being able to place a link back to our sites is just some kind of bonus of being part of the community..

Yes, first of all you need to follow all rules and regulations of the forums you're going to post. Don't make any post seems offensive or spammy to the other members. Respect others comment. make valuable postings and reply effectively to any post you think you've something to say.

I think if you are interesting with one post, you must know what you wanna say! Just express what your opinion, not for the spamm reasons, and not post nothing as agrees, thanks, not post for increase your count of posts!

I think you can use signatures as per the rules of the fourm, not to many as they look spammy and you can post genuine answers for the thread, i mean related to the question.

Dont spam, no one likes it.

Be descriptive in what you ask and what you answer

Be active and share what you know.

Share something that's new, ask questions that's not been well discussed dozens of times before and when you answer questions, put in mind newbies and newcomers and lastly be nice.

I've joined several forums and to be honest some admins are not nice .

I love commenting on forums thread it makes me happy. Before I used to get involved in Yahoo answers but now I receive their SPAMS posting. This forum is fine for me.
