Hi! I'm new in blogosphere. I know that i need to do the SEO if i wish to be success in blogosphere. However, i really do not know anything about SEO. Does anyone wish to give me some advice? Thanks!

First things first..
Install the All in One SEO Pack plugin. Just installing this won't help with the SEO of your blog. Set the proper title, description, keywords for your site and these meta tags should always be set in every post, to include any competitive keywords you are trying to rank for etc.

Then it is the theme optimization, optimize the images etc.
Submit to some good quality blog directories and join networks like technorati, mybloglog for some search engine exposure.
Submit to the google blogsearch engine and also try to build a few good quality relevant backlinks. This is all for a start.

After all this done, you should go on further SEO techniques depending on the niche and the competition of the keywords in search engines.

One major piece of advice would be not to start this unless you're serious about putting the time in, because it is a long learning curve.

If you do decide to go ahead with this, I'm glad we caught you early - here's a warning:

Don't become a spammer
Put good content on your site
Listen to the more respected members of this forum
Don't listen to the people who have a post count of 2 and they both say "get more backlinks"

You'll do just fine

If you don't know anything about SEO - then google "SEO tutorials". Also converse with ppl in forums like this - ask questions - and most of the time, you will learn from their answers.

For blogging, I think the fresh attractive contents would be top things. Targeting right keywords and then building backlinks via social bookmarking and other channels would be OK.

If you want to really know what SEO is, there are a lot of articles on net, just search and read..

There is good advice here, but you will have to weed through the BS.... Chris has always given good advice, even if it is advice you didn't want to hear
