I did not do anything notably special when the site was ranked highly a few weeks ago, all I did was submit the URL to google as I have done for other small sites that I've created and have had usually very good results on the front page. I did take the site live sometime in october, and all I did really was submit the URL to google, checked a few weeks later, and everything was great for the search ranking on the front page.
It's strange because when I type actual context from the site pages, even then it does not show up on the front pages of the google search.
I was logged into gmail, but logged out it worked fine for top results.
Is there something different I should be doing to get higher rankings other than just "submitting my url" to google? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
