Well, I will try my best.

In my own understanding social bookmarking has the primary purpose of saving your favorites websites and sharing it to all of your friends. While in social networking, you are sharing a much more wider kind of data. Pictures, music, information, blog posts. You could also share website links.

The basic difference is source. In Social Networking you interact with people, make friends, share the resources while in Bookmarking is more specified towards just sharing the resources and not aimed at the human resource level.

Networking is linking people to each other in some way, bookmarking is a personal collection of bookmarks and share them with others.

Social networking is all about having that group of people who share similar interests in variety of ways (applications, software, etc) and these would cover on file sharing, chatting, commenting, exchange of videos/photos, and are mostly free to join. On the other hand, social bookmarking stays social in the way it allows the "sharing" methods but, it remains different by only having the collections of every user's links/bookmarks under a relevant page and there are no interactions involved.

Social Networking involves makings networks with your friends or similar thinking people and know more about their knowledge and share your views with them on any topic.

Social Networking and Social Bookmarking have no more difference. Basic different is it's resources. In social bookmarking user save favorites links and shared it. But In Social Networking user makes friends on website.

It is really very simple, look at the titles: bookmarking = bookmark (share) your ideas or discover other peoples ideas and networking= network with others

I look at as sites like twitter or facebook for networking and sites like delicious, digg or stumble upon for bookmarking.

social networking: you can sharing videos, blogs, groups, images and connect to your friends.

both are some difference......use both for good results.........

The both are different form each other social networking site allow visitor to register on their site and make profile. You can make friends and be the part of big community on it. Beside of social bookmarking is the community where people submit their knowledge, news and all about the internet. Social bookmarking is the active community where people always be online, they follow other, reply them and many other stuff you find on social bookmarking site.
