Get traffic from signature, you can find some do-follow forums, and do-follow blogs.

I would say you should start slowly and gradually, yes forum signatures help if done effectively. Apart from signatures you should also go for blogs, bookmarking, articles

If they/you don't the archive thing will always take care of it LOL!

Not sure of the settings here but on my TVW forum the sig links last about a month tops due to/via the archiving feature

Well unless I edit them and play a different game of course.
