I want to create a tool which will basically be a form which will pull information back from a database on my site. Is there a way of including this in an application so that other webmasters can include it on their sites allowing me to can gain the value of the backlinks (which will be pulled back from my database)?

I know how to do the form/sql part but I am interested in the SEO side of things. I've heard that search engines have trouble reading links within applications?

Thanks!

Okay!

so creating a "blog" (a web application) will "hurt your ranks".
so creating a "forum" (a web application) will "hurt your ranks".
so creating a "CMS" (a web application) will "hurt your ranks".
