Hello,
I have old sites (2+ years old) and new websites (1 year old).
What is the good SEO strategy to get indexed on these sites?
What I learned from this forum is to write articles and submit them to social bookmarking sites.
How often do I need to submit them to social bookmarking sites for new sites/old sites?

Get backlinks to the sites from sites that are frequented by the search engine bots

I must say though that I am a little surprised that a 2 year old site is not yet indexed

social bookmarking doesn't help in the SERPs - it does get you referral traffic - especially if you have a lot of ppl in your network.

donot use any shortcut. do all seo work from start to finish to get long term results.

Why do you say that? I thought that google was into this new social bookmarking stuff.
But anyway, yes it should only be used as part of an overall package. Swap links with relevant websites, and have good original content!

The On page optimization should be well and Good. There should not be any broken URL and also with that you need to be more promoting your site using the Off page resources. Article submissions will definitely work and it should have content which should be keyword rich

I have been mostly focusing on social bookmarking but iam implementing new strategies such as being active in forums as well as spent time improving on page . such as titling pictures fixing broken links..that is proving to be benificial.

Create a sitemap - helps your inner pages get index.

Even in old and new website I'm still used comment posting and social bookmarking it creating backlinks.

Add new contents to both sites then bookmark them. If they don't have Sitemap, then create one. Exchanging links with relevant sites can help a lot as well.

Social bookmarking would not be enough. You have to participate on other techniques as well like:

blog commenting
forum posting
social networking (facebook, twitter)
classified ads
hub page
press release
online group posting
