If you mess with the meta tags ,could that be the reason I dont see my site on google or any other SE?

Its a new site I made and It just got on google I was so happy...And then I tryed to fine tune the tags and I'm gone.
Will I have to wait long to have my site on google?

Who knows?? It can be anywhere from a few days to never.
It depends on how well you can promote it

Then why did I see my site for the first time this morning, and then Its gone?

It's a new site. It can take several weeks (maybe months) to be indexed

Funny I was on the 2nd page now I'm no ware to be found

It could just be that you're viewing the results from different data centers. There are several of them and it is common for them not to match each other. One data center may be displaying the old results (no indexing) while the previous result you saw was more up to speed.
