I have watched the promotional vids on it. Some real useful info...Costs $1,998 to buy the program though...Don't really want to go there.

The only thing I can see is that somebody has come up with a new way to get almost $2000 out of people.

Actually, it's an instructional video course put out by Andy Jenkins (formerly of StomperNet) teaching you how to produce and promote video. I saw the video today too. Based on the quality of other things I've seen from him, I would say that you'll probably get your money's worth out of the course. If I had the money available right, I would probably get it as I'm going to be exploring video for our company and it would save me a lot of time and trial and error.

Certainly:

However, for 2k is it going to teach the artistic flair needed to make such videos interesting or entertaining?

I'm sure it will demonstrate the mechanics of video production, blends, filters and so on, but that's not what video is just about.
I have friends and aquaintances who work with video, one is a video production engineer with Granada TV, another creates background displays for pub and club broadcast systems.
Now I can work the software, the mixing hardware etc, I know what each blend does and I can take the same video cuts and images and all the material, produce the same work yet mine usually end up looking like a home video from a cousins wedding!

He shows you how to be create and get fancy with it. Just watch the videos and you will see exactly what you learn. It looks like a good product, just very expensive.

I'm not sure any amount of money can teach artistic creativity if there isn't at least a base to build from. Now, I haven't bought the course, so I can't absolutely vouch for anything in it, but I imagine video is much the same as any other art - there are tried and true techniques that anyone could apply that will greatly increase the quality of production. Will it be a masterpiece? Probably not, but it will be an improvement.

Consider the C.R.A.P. design principles: Contrast, Repetition, Alignment, and Proximity. Applying those doesn't necessarily require artistic proclivities and yet a design can improve because of them. Of course, someone that is more artistic will apply them better than the layperson, but everyone can benefit.

Yeah - I saw the first video of it. The dude was a smooth talker. He said he did video productions for certain companies in the past and made commercials.

Of course - this was by a beach. Just like a stupid infomercial.

anyway - Do yourself a favor - save your $$$.

So do we need to purchase the video and check whether how can it be more helpful for us in SEO. But i think that since there are many videos which do tell us that they will make us learn the different methods of video marketing but how to depend on these all then??

I actually downloaded these videos, watched 2 of them and he can certainly get you excited about doing video marketing to launch a product. But there is so much more to it than just producing a video, getting people to watch it is a good start (maybe that is where SEO gets involved Chris :-))

I won't pay $10 for an e-product, so I certainly won't pay $2k, but I know a few people that did, and will see if they get any ROI on it....

Try Cinelerra. It's not the easiest to use but, it's incredibly powerful.

There's also RealProducer, (diclaimer: I work for Real)

There's a big list of open source video editors of Wikipedia here:
