If you change your site internal page url then obviously it will effect your site results in SERP. Because you have to change or alter your on page according to the new URls.
all the pages are indexed by google keeping the url structure into consideration and if you try changing it, you will loose all what you have indexed and obviously your site will drop down. So it is always better not to change the url structure,
