Content are very important in seo.
cos if your content will be wrong in any sense then your site is useless and will have no value.

All of the links in the world won't help you if your content sucks and your bounce rate is through the roof. Google makes note of that and guess what, down goes your SERP, which is really what we are all after.

Correct me if I'm wrong (I often am!) I thought the only way bounce rate can be checked is if you install tracking code on your site. Are you saying that the Google SE can check this anyway?

I noticed that everytime i changed something in my indexed page, my site disappear on google for a month and will come back again after that. I think thats what is happening to you.

SEO never sells itself content does. SEO cannot exist with content.

Link building off-course is a time taking process and also is an overwhelming task.

As always both have to coexist.

Of course than content is important, but also backlinks are important to increase your ranking.
