You can never go wrong with links for SEO... but why bother with traffic unless you have good content?

Both the terms content and links are incomplete with each other. But quality content matters. Links can't make their impact if you have content poor website while if your website have quality content. It will automatically have some links.

For search engines like google, original content is the key and then comes quality backlinks.both are important.
