Well friends I have something here, I have read in many places that google buzz is very helpful in SEO. People say that they will help in indexing your website very fast. I've checked the indexed pages in google here.
But when you check the pages that are indexed the links in those pages are no-follow, I have found that it is totally useless other than it will drive some traffic to your site. What are your thoughts???

Thanks in advance,

I had a totally useless nofollow link from an online Scandi news site a couple of months ago, 5,000 totally useless visitors per hour it sent for around 12 hours before it slowed down.
Just wish I could get more of these totally useless links.

I dont think Google ever place higher weight for any of their products. Since buzz is no-follow it will not help for SEO. Webmasters do everything to get more natural traffic, which can easily converted to sales. SEO is just one method to drive traffic.
So I think buzz is good method to drive traffic. We dont need chase after SEO only.

I don't think that Buzz links being nofollowed mean much. Take twitter for example. All the links in twitter are nofollowed. But Google does access twitter metrics. I don't think Google is going to do some fun time reading with all that information. Don't expect buzz to be too different from that example.

Remember backlinks are important. But links alone doesn't make your site rank. I'm gonna be concentrating on Buzz. nofollow or not. With time and enough people on it, Buzz can prove to be a valuable ranking metric as well.

For me its a double edged sword which you can use to your own advantage. Choose your buzzes wisely only buzzing the quality stuff and keep the chatter on Twitter and this way you can brand yourself as an expert via your Google Profile. On Twitter the links you post get forgotten almost immediately, on Buzz each time someone comments they end up on top again. So a great item might get attention over and over. I guess this solves the SEO purpose.
