i have an site that is fully based on Flash. i want to optimize that site. can any one suggest me which i have to do for this.

Optimize as in SEO? If so, I'd say Flash isn't the way to go. I would recommend possibly replicating the site in html format.

i'm agreeing of what the above members replied.
may be because flash is none text content, thus search engine could not indexed/crawl it.

SEO techniques (on page and off page) is useful for any type website...
Trying to doing SEO techniques more better with focus and continues ...

On Page Optimization :
select and improve keyword in url, title, pages, and keyword tags ..

Off Page Optimization :
article submission
forum submission
press release submission
internet marketing
social bookmarking
social networking
blogging (walking and commenting)

I personally like flash pages - visually - but back navigation is a big drawback, and the fact that flash pages probably will not have the possibility to use H1 tags - which is a great drawback SEO wise at least!

I would for that reason alone choose not to implement a 100% flash site, but it's good there are different opinions - and had to skin through the link chrishirst provided about "how to SEO flash"

Create another version of the website in html and keep a link to it from the home page.
It will definitely help the website to rank better in the search engines.

You need to add an alt tag, I think. You also need to control the size of your flash.

Below are few essential steps that need to be followed so that your flash become search engine friendly
1. Always add html page for each of your flash page so that indexing of links, content etc become easier
2. Link should be added in the flash so that crawling become easier and faster
3. Use proper JavaScript call to redirect the flash In right direction
4. Links in the flash should be text based rather than image based
5. Flash should be named by keeping the themes in our mind
6. Off page works should be done by targeting the internal flash pages because it takes large time to be indexed
7. Content written in flash should be such that it lie under the proper keyword density rule
8. Flash should clearly explain the theme of website
9. Add your content before your flash design
10. Size of the flash file should be such that it do not effect the loading time

YOu can possibly create a HTML website for the web crawlers. Add a page prior to home page and can keep 2 links on that page,"Flash version." and "HMTL version".
This way you can increase the usability of the website as well.People who would d be having problem accessing the flash version of your website, due to high load time, can now see the html version. Even the crawler will get the something to crawl, acknowledge and index your site.

What a load of drivel. All you have done is almost repeat something that you have half understood.
All your "advice" will do is mislead people.

Great I found this thread. I was asking myself the same question for a long time, though I'm not problematic because I never came to handle a flash based site.
