Hi there,
New here and have just had a question jump to mind in regards to article marketing. Ezines and maybe the other top 5 - same article or different ones for any SEO benefit to your linked anchor text? Also there are 100s out there, is there any plus points to adding to more than the top 5?

First up, this didn't make much sense when I read it. So hope this is what you are after.

Article submission is OK as long as you are doing it in better sites such as ezines, hubspot, squidoo and such like. But do it carefully. Most sites whack a sticker across your content shouting free content. Weigh article publishing carefully. Sometimes, it's not worth the effort

Article Submission Sites are primarily for traffics; back links was its secondary purpose.

I use about seven to ten popular article sites - and I use it to promote my client's websites.

Backlinks - sure, why not - I put anchor text in them, but they don't help to move up in the SERPs.

The reason why I use them is for referral traffic. However, I do purposely optimize the articles themselves and sometimes they rank on the first page of certain niches.

I would suggest that you look at each resource seperately. Squidoo and Hubpages help you build a community of readers, Ezinearticles is more of a standalone article site and so on. Most allow some level of linking to your site, so these get counted.
Rather than top 5, look at a traffic cutoff based on compete, quantcast, alexa data (use all to get an idea as neither is perfect). Over time, your analytics will show who is sending how many visitors and you can use yahoo siteexplorer to check the backlink and its PR etc.

you need to focus on quality and theme related link building .........and social bookmarking also you can submit your unique article to other 500+ unique article directories... it will help you a lot

As far as your question about submitting the same article to multiple directories, this is not something that I recommend. I think it is a waste of time and content. I believe in always using unique content (at least for the most part).

And as far as is it worth submitting to different article directories than the top 5 I would have to say yes. You get credit for having back links from multiple different sites, the more different sites that are linking to you the better, so I would say it is worth it to submit a couple articles to all of the other directories to (well the ones with PR3 or above at least).

In submitting articles, use your keyword linked to your site. have it hyperlinked...

I personally write for ezine, then completely rewrite for each article directory. I try to get links from different directories not just five - I believe one link from 10 directories is better than ten links from one directory.

Make sure you vary yur anchor text though.

Some people write for ezine and then use an article spinner/submitter to submit to a 100 or so directories.
