Which of the following link building methods is best for SEO?

(a) Forum signature links
(b) Dofollow blog comments
(c) Article resource boxe links
(d) Directory links
(e) They're equally effective/ineffective (elaborate)

They all help, but only 1 of each wouldn't make much difference to traffic or your site authority.

You're supposed to be a "SEO Guy" and have signature links to "increase website traffic", don't you already know what is useful for your clients?

Our thoughts are that any link is a good link--from sources such as directory submissions and press releases--that includes the keyword in the anchor text. Don’t be too focused on what type of link or its source.

link building from related site will do the job. Not all signature and other link building technique can make a good impression to search engine but also make sure you have it from related blogs/website.

You don't list social bookmarking and answers site. Social bookmarking and article are the most important, I think.

Get to be an authority on ur niche, join some forums within your niche and advise people, once people see your not clueless, they will reward you with links !

IMHO, the best links you can get are in-content links from the articles published by trustworthy websites, like Yahoo, Forbes, Adobe, etc.

How to get such links is another question, of course, but first-class press-release distribution services will definetely help in obtaining such links.

This question seems to have come from the same place where these came from. Leaving that aside, a link is a link is a link. (Saw this somewhere in this forum itself. But can't remember from whom.)

So all those links save from maybe the directory links can help bolster an SEO campaign. Even nofollows help in getting traffic to your site.

We can't tell which is better. Because whether it came from a directory or forum or blogs , it's a link to the site. We need only good quality back links to the site.

Every link, apart from ones on spam and porn sites, will help in some way. Even without anchor text. Never pass up an opportunity for a good backlink!

You should create quality contents people will link to naturally, give something useful where part of the term of use is to link back to your site, create internal links from related pages on your blog/site etc
