Hi,

My situation is this...I run an article directory that has about 200k articles on various subjects. I have a huge sitemap that I try to update monthly and about 950 backlinks thusfar. Is there an easy way to get more of my pages indexed in search engines? Does do follow vs no follow for links in the articles play a big roll in whether the pages are indexed?

Dofollow and nofollow does play a huge role. If you nofollow a link, that says to the crawlers not to follow that. period. Also if you have used the robot.txt file, check whether everything is alright with it.

I'd suggest finding ways to cross link your articles if you're not already doing so. Things like related articles, popular articles, and new articles sections as well as RSS feeds will all help your site get more pages indexed. You could also look at your navigation setup. Use logical categories and breadcrumbs. You should also make it easy for visitors to bookmark and share articles through social media. The AddThis widget is a popular one to share content on social media sites.

In recent Google Wave can't reach all locations bu if that reach once may be concur all the social media in online...meet again.

That's not entirely true. Google follows every link it finds. Nofollow just stops the passing of any link juice.

Just try to get traffic in your site. If web masters will add article on all categories your pages will index soon. Also use dofollow attributes for all articles and pages.

Fo you as for web site owner that is not a problem, but for people whioch have links in the articles on your forum that is very very important indeed.
