As we know that submitting to social bookmarking sites, posting forums, ....These are the basic things for doing SEO on off page. But I think that we can do one of those basic things, and the result is still the same as we do the whole thing. I only do little forums posting as I heard that there is little value for posting forums. I submit my sites to social bookmarking sites that approve my site fast. And I also put my link in profile. This brings me a good result after two days. I don't brag about this, but this is true.

Yes I agree with you but I think in SEO most important thing is the high PR places for your submissions. If you are promoting site in high PR places you will surely get good result regardless what channel you are using.

Social Bookmarking & forum posting is good but don't forget link variety.

It really depends on the site that you are trying to market and also it depends with the type of audience you are looking for.

Every link is important for SEO, dosen't matter from where and how you got that link, forum, bookmarking, blogs and directory links are always considered good by search engines. Yes PR is an another important factor for links that high PR links works as power booster for your website in SERP.

Try doing a little bit of this and a little of that for building links. After all, you want your link profile to look as natural as possible.

forum posting, when done properly, is like hitting three birds in one stone. You build links, enhance your knowledge and meet online friends.

Yes, agree. Quality links are of more value to your website than the quantity of links.

The problem in doing limited link building method is that you'll be easily run out of resources for that methods.

I do use this avenues and yes they do give positive.... but also try to vary your choice of avenues for much better out put.
