I hope things are good with everyone. I have a query and I need help.

Do you suggest blogs or forums? Which is more profitable from SEO point of view and user experience? Presently, my site has a few guides on a certain topic. They are shown as HTML pages. All the guides are interlinked. Now I have a chance to create a blog or forum. Do you think it will improve my search engine ranking? Which one would you suggest to display information? Please come ahead with your valuable suggestions friends. I desperately need help on this.

Forums take much longer to develop imo and to build a community but also have higher repeat traffic. Overall I think Forums are more profitable but they are long term.

I think a Blog would be beneficial for SE ranking purposes. You will have to constantly moderate things if you have a forum and it will be a headache if you are going to do it alone. A blog would be more easier to handle.

True I think only few have patience to watch over a forum and constantly try to build a community. Blogs are much more common, and both it is rare to be successful with

Blogs would be the best thing to implement. Since they are common and famous among the web surfers. Implementing blogs will also increase your site traffic with short time since forums take some time to implement and to build a community.

Implementing forums can be future enhancement.

With a blog you have to write a lot or the blog starts to go down hill, with a forum if you can not be on for a few days it will not effect things to much, i would go for a forum.

With a blog you can write more contents in it, but the result is slow. With a furum you can not write some contents which you want. you must write somethings which is benifit for the forum. but the result is quickly.

I think forum is more beneficial can get high ranking and traffic in less time but its difficult to handle continuously you have to manage it.

Both will help your site providing they get people involved in your site, you should be asking yourself which option would be the best for my site, and which one would get people contribuiting the most, as theres nothing worse than a forum with no users and likewise for a blog too !

Blog is my choice cause it will be easier to maintain compared with forum. For forum to work you need some manpower to help you run it. It will be tough to handle it alone.

If you think they are ANYTHING to do with SEO or search engine "ranking" then you are in for a big shock.

Content is the only thing that will help your "search engine ranking" that content is best presented on static pages.

Well, between the two, I would say forums. However, there are many items that go into SEO, but the forums would be just one aspect of it.

blog is the best from of link building since you have with you the control of everything

I agree with you, according to me forums are more profitable than blog.

I'd go for blog easier to update and maintain and yes you have to have good content always.

i consider both things but then...its not just about them, having good contents would be a good thing as well

I would create a blog, however not in SEO purpose...but definitely yes, a blog worth a try.
