Hi,

LSI defined by google with respect to his algorithm which determine how words are related to each other in context of web pages. for an example content of webpage might have words such as chocolate,suger,dough etc.which helps search engines to know more accurately what a page is about.

There is software that can do that and has been around for several years...
The question would be whether or not Google can or is doing that yet.....
They talk about it it but???

Latent Semantic Analysis (LSA) is applied by taking millions of web pages, where the search engines can learn which words are related and which noun concepts relate to one another. Searh Engines are considering related terms and recognizing which terms that frequently occur together, maybe on the same page, or in close enough proximity. So it is mainly used for language modeling or most other applications.
