Hello everyone,

Can anyone tell me about the use of reciprocal link for the new web site? For the link exchanging page rank of the other site should be consider or not. If page rank should be considered then up to which level page rank must be considered.

42 links, it's the magic number, 1 from a pr6, 2 from a pr5, 3 from a pr4, 4 from a pr3, 5 from a pr2, 6 from a pr1 and 17 from pr 0 sites, works everytime for that number 1 spot on google and number 3 spot on yahoo, for some reason it doesn't work on bing but I think bing works on 45 links.

Hi,mate,if your site is PR3 , then ask PR3 or higher for your website...If someone come with his website which has very very strong backlinks, you can do the cooperative affair with him/her.

You need 1100 reciprocal links to have the best chance of success. Preferably from completely unrelated sites, and make sure you put all your reciprocal outbounds on a links page.

To answer the original poster, forget reciprocal links and get one way links instead.

Reciprocal links can actually do wonders. In fact, 9 out of 10 webmasters agree that that acquiring 2532 reciprocal links will have some influence on your SEO efforts.

Reciprocal Link Building Definition

Reciprocal link building is the name given to the process of exchange of links between two websites.
The links exchanged may not be directly reciprocated – website A may give a link from page A1 to page B1 of Website B while website B may reciprocate the link by linking to page A2 of website A from its page B4.

inbound link building (or one-way link building)
two-way link building
three-way link building

All these are necessary for getting a high rank.
