Hello,
I don't know about your ideas but I think back links are more important than content in SEO. I mean, I create a new page or blog page, it will not be indexed easily.
when I submit these new pages to social bookmarking sites, they are indexed very fast.
So, content is for readers to come back to your site and back links are to get visitors to come to your site the first time.
For me, back links are more important than content because without getting your site indexed, how to make visitors come back?
Your idea is appreciated.

As for SEO, backlinks are really the most important offpage factor for ranking. but if you are campaigning for conversion, then content is really the king.

Yeah, Back link and Unique Content just like fuel in SEO without them you can't rank well, I can say that because without content you can't get that much important to your website by search engine.

Yes they are very important because you cannot optimize your page without content and you can't get traffic without backlinks.

backlinks and content are important both equally, and in my opinion one can't live without the other. Content is quite a bit more important since you can actually get indexed and get good backlinks if you offer something interesting and unique.

I think the purpose of backlinks from diffrerent do follow sites is to get high page ranks and different than creating a unique content.

Both the content and back links are very important for a site. The no of back links should be equal to the no of pages in the site. This helps you to get more traffic and high rank in search engine result page. This will also tell that your site is quality.

Back link is important but content is equally important for any website or blog according to SEO point of view, because unique and helpful content attract more visitors and holds the visitors for long time on website. When visitors land on website they always expect unique or attractive stuff in terms of content.

For me the content is just one of tools to drive traffic ... but whether traffic will be quality ... this is already another topic..

They are both VERY important. You need the links to rank. You need good content to get people to convert (whatever that means for your particular site) once they are on your site. Good content also leads to more and better links... natural links. Good content causes users to tell their friends about your site.

There is a constant struggle between what's good for SEO and what's good for users. Good SEOs make good decisions when such conflicts arise. In most situations with a little thought you can find a way to accomplish both a good user experience AND help your page from an SEO perspective. If no good compromise can be found for such a conflict, I tend to side with what is good for users unless it is something absolutely crucial to SEO.

On-page factors including content carry little weight in comparison to off-page factors (links). Some estimate about 20-30% of rankings are determined by on-page factors and that the remaining 70-80% are the result of off-page factors. So giving up a little from an SEO perspective in favor of making the user's experience a better one typically only has a very small negative affect from an on-page SEO perspective.

Both are really useful to get a higher traffic and customers. They say content is the King and the backlinks? I guess the Queen. In a way that they help to maintain the ranking and the SEO gained by the content and backlinks.

If you have good quality content your backlinks should be easier to obtain through natural channels.

both are important, they need each other to work your SEO. Even if you got link but no content what would the readers read and what would the bot crawl and be seen in Search Engine.

I always make sure to have good content ant back links on my seo work for these things are very obvious to readers.
