Hello everyone,

Currently, we are starting work on new web site. For increasing the page rank which technique is better, on page optimization or off page optimization. If on page, then among the anchor tag optimization, url optimization, text optimization which one affect the page rank most. If anyone knows the best concept about this, please inform me.

Both On page Optimization and Off page Optimization need to All web site.
First U need Good On page Optimization after U start Off Page optimization to get top ranking in Search Engine.

For new site on page optimization is very important for getting fast indexing of the site and among that anchor tag optimization is considered as best for pulling good traffic and higher pagerank.

I dont agree with you on that one. Link building is for example an attempt to weight things in your favour. It is not done to advertise or promote as such, but to try to give your site an advantage over others for natural SERP placement.

So generally its trying to tip the scales rather than promotion?

promotion has two meanings BTW.

Links per se do not have any real effect with Google BTW, it is the anchor text of links that is used in the Google algo, so link bombing the way to the top for a page is the hardest way to go about things. And of course when it gets there traffic is non-existent because those "most impotant keywrods) [it's intentional] aren't any use at all becaue nobody use that phrase now, so all that work has been in vain.

The "link building" community is still stuck firmly in 1995 - 1999 era where links where more "potent" and the Internet users were not as savvy and competition was not as fierce.
What they have failed to do is realise that their "home" page is NOT important to any body but them, Internet users now do NOT want to be dumped on a page that makes them search again, they want to land on a page that actually has what they were looking for! They have grown up with and got used to search engines delivering a page that is a good match for their query.
Why do you idiots keep fighting against the SEs by insiting that your "home page" is the most relevant for everything, and THEN complaining bitterly "how difficult it is to rank in Googe"!

For goodness sake WAKE UP!!!!!!!!

Stupid directory owners who wouldn't spot an opportunity if it jumped up and bit them in the ~~bal~~ groin. Intelligent marketers and promoters (if there are any) would PAY MONEY to promote a product directly in a specific category!!
Smart marketers do it all the time you know, with the likes of Kelkoo, Amazon (it's not all their own products) and they earn money for themselves, their own sites or their clients websites AND the directory where it was listed.

LEARN something. instead of keeping your heads under that rock that keeps you from seeing that everything has mooved on.

Ok I agree with that and it does for a time weigh things in your favour, but seo is not filling out details on directories, it is not posting non sensical replies in forums in the hope your signature gets picked up, are you telling us this is seo? Posting replies in blogs is seo? Some call it spam, Chris is polite and calls it advertising, the juice you get from any of the above is so little it really isn't worth doing for people in western countries from a monetry point of view, people want to search for something and find it, they don't and won't click through pages upon pages in the hope of finding it, search engines suprisingly enough also want people to find what they are looking for, so seo starts on your page, give the information that people are looking for, get the keywords round the right way although that only makes a slight difference, make sure you have what they are actually looking for, don't let them go away dissappointed looking for a better site than yours.

Neither. You can increase page rank by adding more pages of unique content to your site or by link building. Which is best? Neither. It's not what you do that gets the best results, it's how you do it. A website with 10 000 pages of good quality content and no incoming links will still get a decent page rank (however unlikely no incoming links would be for such a site).

The easiest way to up page rank is to pay for some quality one-way incoming links to your site. Not those silly 'paid PR5 links' cr4p, but paid directories such as Yahoo Local; places that people actually visit looking for your services. To be of use, the pages that you're getting a link on should have content related to your keywords.

Mind you, doing such things just for page rank is yet another example of RankWank™. You do it to promote your website and attract potential customers, not for search engines.

For a new website on page seo can do wonders to even rank for wisely choosen keywords.
USe right meta keywords
use proper internal linking
use proper keywords at right places
use targeted categories and such.

But since your blog is not a new after few days building links with targeted anchors should be the order of the day.

Uhhh both are required. It's important to have quality content and have everything optimized and there is NOTHING wrong at ALL with building quality inbound links that are relevant.

Link building can be done to BOTH promote your site and get traffic but ALSO to weigh things in your favor. It's not one or the other.

As all of us now, you should make backlinks for your website which is called off page optimization but be careful because you should start it with a low speed and if you do it fast, your website will be penalized by Google. also try to get backlinks from related websites to your niche.

I think on page is more important than off page.

Your URL, title, keyword condensity and etc.. are the key and first things for your page. I cannot see the rank of your page will be high if the on page optimization is not done correctly, unless there is no strong competition of the keywords you are targeting.

Before Starting off page optimization you must have to do proper on page optimization like make SEO friendly URLs. after that do competitor analysis and do again on page optimization as per requirements.
