The same way that any site is. The publishing/hosting platform does not matter

Oliver there's plenty of info here on the forum to help you get started with seo. It's hard to answer such a general question in a single thread. If you don't mind search the forums a bit and spend some time reading through the other threads in this section.

I'm sure that will lead to more specific questions and those we can more likely help with.

Unfortunately, there's ppl on every forum that claim they are an expert and say misguided things.

I would experiment like crazy in how a site moves up (you really should focus on promotion) and come to your own conclusions...

Thanks for the reply, if I could be a bit more of a moron.....Which are the best ways of promotion to go about doing?
I've found some very misguiding things on here from people and things from people that just assume novices know all the correct terminology

First things first, if you thought that SEO is a 'fire and forget' affair, it's not. There are lots of things, most of them simple though, that you have to consider. This forum is one of the best places to learn the trade but yes, it has it's fare share of morons.

What I would suggest is start with something intended for beginners. I suggest this, this and there are loads and loads of free stuff on the WWW that you can use. Most of us here didn't learn SEO through books. We learnt how to do good SEO through trial and error, testing and in some instances through sheer luck.
