I would agree content is always the key in SEO so you should really give time on doing it or have someone to do it for you.

If you are looking for first time to Google index your website then you can add your website in Forums where your website will be idex faster then other methods or just bookmark your website on digg

You have to update content so google can index fast atleast you should make some few changes in content

1. submit one of your internal pages to Digg
2. register a blog at blogspot (put a backlink in one of the posts) and add it to mybloglog - this way Google has no choice but to index it

For fast site indexing in search engines you have to add contents or update web page by adding videos, images, on page optimization and most important sitemap submission in webmaster tool. This doesn't require daily work but you have to be consistent in updating your website.
