For what I can remember, nobody told us how to do SEO. If you find some classes that we can take, please be kind enough to share it. I have seriously run out of good entertainment.

And this matter of spamming. What did you think it is? walk in the park? SPAMMING IS BAD. Don't do it. There are better and more effective ways to get traffic and good backlinks. Take some time to walk through these threads at webmasters talk. There are some great advice how to go about things. Try the blog sections at sites like SEOMOZ, Search Engine Journal, searchengineland, etc

Yes, it is very bad because if you want backlinks you need to put yourself and at least write some quality posts and blog comments. You don't want your forum/blog to get spammed, so don't spam others forums/blogs.
