Hi all

Can anyone tel me how alexa ranking works. I can't understand their concept.

Eg: Now my company has ranked in world wide as:

2,028,83(world wide)
47,482 (Au)

is this visit cound or What is ranking here?

can any one explain me what is the red and green arrow indicates!

^It doesn't work, their concept is that people use their data mining toolbar and it shows the date from them, sadly 99.9percent of the world have no interest in having a data mining toolbar.

It's pretty much useless unless Alexa make every internet user use it at gun point.

No difference at all. TBPR and ALEXA are both useless.

Oh and nice handle with 'portgas'. Gives me all sort of ideas related to something that I do after having a large portion of beans.

I think it ranks website on the basis of its reach in a particular region. Moreover one should not consider individual numbers provided by Alexa in any kind of analysis.. rather you should look at the whole picture.. i.e... use the graph and not the numbers

Alexa ranks the websites according to the visitors they get, they use the Alexa toolbar and that's why the data isn't accurate. Alexa rank is very important when you sell your website.
