Please tell me i have published a forum on sub domain like fourms.example.com and i dont have anything on main domain like www.example.com tell me can google include my forum in search results?? or i have to publish anything like website or blog to my main domain?? or can i use redirect untill i publish anything to my main domain. if i can use redirect please tell me complete method step by step. Thanks

Google can indexarte the subdomain and the primary domain has no content, but efficient in these cases is that the primary domain has good SEO work. It's a bit of common sense. Imagine that your father did not exist and you do ... How come? First the father and then son. Greetings and success.

No you DO NOT need any content at all on the "main domain"

Sub domains are independent entities take blogger.com as your example!!

I agree with chrishirst on this one. This will not be a problem for you as Google will crawl your sub domain anyway. It may be a good idea to direct from domain.com to forum.domain.com but it's not completely necessary.

Thanks alot guys.. well today google has indexed my site in search result when I installed wordpress on main domain, but i agree with chrishirst and zomex.
