For simplicity and hopefully increased conversions, we're thinking about turning our company website into a single landing page. The landing page's job will try to convert visitors into leads as quickly as possible but will link to the "full site" for anyone who wants to visit it for more information. The full site will be housed in a subfolder, such as: domain.com/main
I'm using wordpress for both sites.
I'm wondering what's going to happen to my ranking in Google if I go from a multi-page site to a single-page site???
And how does Google see the multi-page site suddenly in a subfolder?
Is this going to be an SEO disaster? What do you think of the overall idea?
The landing page as a different theme/template than the full site so I need two wordpress installations to accomplish what we're after. An installation for the landing page and an installation for the full site in a subfolder.
Thanks for the help!
