The difference between an authority site and a mini-site is apparent in content. I also understand the importance of unique content, but my question is ....

.... money spent on off-page SEO for a mini-site - is it worthwhile ??

If i could only achieve 1000 unqiues per month i would be happy

Not really, because you have to spend money (or time) on every "mini site" whereas when you promote a bigger site the work filters through all sections.

It's just a shortsighted and frankly dumb idea that the "home page" of any site is the only one to promote.

If you'll just exert ALMOST the same amount of effort on both, while don't you focus on a much bigger site???

money spent on off-page SEO for a mini-site? if you can money spent on on-page SEo and off-page SEO on a big site. you will get more.
