You can index your blog by Google very easily you have to submit it to the different social book marking sties , such as Delicious, Diigo ,Sumble, Reditt etc

How much PR a site has doesn't have any relevance on how fast a SE will index your site.

Place a link to it in your signature.

Just start building links. You'll get indexed when Google decides they WANT to crawl and index you. Sitemaps to get you indexed are worthless if you don't have the backlinks to make you rank.

So what if you're not indexed... I mean is being indexed and ranking 100th for some crappy long tail keyword or 1000th for some head term really any better than NOT being indexed at all?

Hi Sam234,
Have some site submission directories. Submit there your blog. As well as the great idea of indexing in Google is to let the Google find your blog it self. For that, make as much as possible back links without spamming and get index in Google. I suggest you that second idea is best for indexing purpose.

You have to do social bookmarking in popular sites because these sites are daily indexed by search engines spiders.

Firstly, try submitting the link to Google, Yahoo and Bing.

Google : http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl
Yahoo : http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit
Bing : http://www.bing.com/webmaster/SubmitSitePage.aspx

Once you've finished submitting your link, advertise your link on popular websites and forums that search engines crawls a lot. ( DO NOT SPAM )

Eventually, you'll see your blog indexed on Google, Bing and Yahoo. Good luck.
