I'm considering to make a few websites, and I feel obliged to place links to sites from which I have found graphics for my site. That, and placing a link to my source. Totally, it will amount to 3 three outgoing links. Is this decliate, seowise? Is there any risk of triggering spam-filters?

three links to sites you stole sorry BORROWED graphics from is hardly going to cause a flurry of interest on the "spam" front.

Now if it was three THOUSAND link on every page you probably should be concerned.

You should link out to whatever site you want to. Link to sites when it creates a better user experience on your site or because you want to thank someone on another site. Never stop for a single second to worry about seo when adding a link out to another site. Unless you're linking to spam, warez, or similar there really isn't any issue.

Now as far as borrowing graphics from other sites, you really should get permission first, however odds are it won't be a problem.

The outgoing link of your site will get an Inbound link to those site. So in one or the other way the site owner will come to know about the graphics that you had used.

3 outgoing links is not bad at all. Try to link "in" also in some other sites related to you for backlink purpose.
