Hello,
After submitting new articles to directories and new pages to Social bookmarking sites, my new web pages got indexed on the 3rd or 4rd page on Google after 1 or 2 months. But I never found these pages on Yahoo.
I think because I don't pay for Yahoo to be included in their search engine.
Do we really have to pay to be included in Yahoo search engine?

The problem is you do the same as everybody else.

You focus on search engines rather than looking at SEARCH overall and then think you have to do something different for each search engine.

Search USERS should be your focus!!!!!!!!

You meant? like good content? If yes, then my sites have good content because I create new blog pages every 2 weeks.

Looking at your sig your in a competitive market, there are many out there better at seo than you, your new blog every 2 weeks aint going to cut the mustard.

Why does that make it "good" content?

Well paying is good move but it will cost you a lot so better keep posting on free submission.

Do you honestly believe that this is good SEO advice yourself? When did PPC become SEO? Get your facts right mate.

'Google SEO', 'Yahoo SEO' and 'Bing SEO' are things uttered by amateurs or chronically ill people whose ideal place of stay is behind bars.

As Chris rightly said, SEO is about users. It's never ever about the search engines.

2 things,

1)you need to make content that makes users want to link to you, without asking.

2)You need to find a good quality keyphrase for your niche and optimize your site for the keyphase. 1 keyphase per page, if you want to optimize for more than one ( this is to get started. )

for example. a company that sells car parts, might want to optimize each part page for the part model number. as not many competitors will do this, and would be high quality traffic.

Hi,

As per my experience google and yahoo search engines algorithms are differenct, so it need to consider seo priority for google and yahoo,
yahoo gives more importance to linkback, meta tags in a website but google way of analysis is different.

If you would like to rank on Yahoo, then i strongly suggest to focus on Directory submission with high PR, it will help you to increase the ranking on Yahoo.

everyone concentrate more on google and try to find google updating and the algorithm , few are concentrated on yahoo
so algorithm tech is not spoken popularly
it maybe a reason we thing yahoo is harder

Don't waste time thinking about yahoo rankings. What matters most now is your Google Rankings. You're just making your self sick.

Well I dont think that it's difficult to get rank in Yahoo, you can get rank there but for this you must concentrate more on on-site optimization and use all Yahoo services to get link. Yahoo and Google would have different algorithm in indexing and ranking pages. But its also true that Yahoo will send you less traffic than Google because the Yahoo search engine receives less traffic than Google, so there are fewer people to send.

You don't need to pay to be included in yahoo search. Their directory is the one where you need to pay to be included.

There are no different seo techniques for yahoo. SEO for google should work with any other search engine.

When it comes to Yahoo, it's just strange. Because I have many websites and only one of them gets noticeable traffic from Yahoo, and it's a one page .info site and was receiving traffic from Yahoo about 2 months after I made it. I never built up backlinks or did anything special with it aside from link to it on youtube. I find it strange that I get lots of traffic on that one site from yahoo, but barely any from yahoo on my much larger and much older sites.

No I don't think we need to pay to get good ranking..Try to build more backlinks and work a bit hard on doing seo for your blog.

If these pages are in Bing, then don't worry about it. They will be serving search results to Yahoo! soon enough.
