My goal is to increase traffic on our site and get more shoppers there since we wouldn’t have to pay as much in fees that we acquire through Amazon and eBay. I would like help on SEO and back links to increase the traffic and I hope that by join this site, it will happen. I just started using our Word Press again in hopes to help with getting more content into the search engines.

I am open to all suggestions from you all from web design and anything else relevant to my goals.

You can try these techniques:

1-social networks (myspace, facebook, twitter, linkedin and using to other social media.)

2- social bookmarks (digg, delicious, and other social bookmarking sites.)

3- directory submission

4- RSS submission

5- blog commenting

6- forum marketing ( participating in relevant forums)

7- using different one way link building techniques

You can do a lot of off page work to increase your backlinks. Do social bookmarking, Article Posting, Directory Submissions, PAD submissions, Forum Posting, Link Exchange, Blog Cumment and many more. It will help you to rank in google.

Off page tactics (bookmarking, article submission, blogging, directory) and social media is good for increase traffic. If you sell the product you can add your product in Google base.

Backlinks can be gained in a variety of ways.

You can pay for links.
You can place your own links.
You can build quality content and your visitors will naturally link to you over time.

If you try to do all 3 of these you will definitely get more customers to your site. Once you rank higher in the search engines from all your links you will also get free traffic and increase your ROI.

I believe it is an e-commerce website. If that is so, then you will have to initiate few more things other than SEO like PPC, Banner Advertising and Email Marketing.
As e-commerce sites mostly have dynamic pages and the content and pages keeps on changing.
