hi all,
I am working on a travel website, i have done all the off page Seo of the website, and when i check the analytic the numbers of visitors is increased but bookings are still less...is there any effective methods to have targeted customers on website, i want to increase the bookings..

NOw you have to concentrate on on page and do some changes in your website design to get more cool feel.

there's lots of things you can do.

Firstly, check out your bounce rate, see how many people are staying on your site once they land on it. Something could very well be putting them off.

Secondly, make sure your copy is nice and punchy, to the point, and loaded with too much waffle.

Thirdly, make sure you're ranking for the right phrases for your customer base. There's little point being number one for "travel europe" if you specialise in trips to Asia, for example.

Fourthly, consider a PPC campaign. With this you can specifically target the right keywords as well as regions. You can also set up goals so you can track your visitors behaviour when they arrive at your site, and make specific landing pages for each keyword/phrase.

Have a look at those and see if they help.

Also, make sure your booking system is user friendly.

Your conversion rate usually increases when you target longer tail search terms as opposed to shorter tail ones. You should experience an increase in bookings and a lower bounce rate if what people see when they arrive at your site is exactly what they were looking for - this is much easier to achieve using long tail terms. That's not to short tail ones shouldn't be optimised for, just that long tail ones should be considred when performing the on-site SEO.

Off page optimization has nothing to do in increasing your bookings from your site. It is true that link building a way of advertising. Its about to bring you traffics but not bookings at all. What you need to do work is to optimize your on-page. Having a good content is the only way for you to increase your bookings from your site.

I agree to what others have said, you need to focus on your advertising but make sure you target the right people. You must be aware on where you connect and advertise. So turn your attention to whats important and promote your site mostly to other related sites of your business and disregard the others.

you need to work on the on page factor, check your kws, whether its really good and would drive you traffic as well as conversion

Conversion rates are dependent on the content of the page... How well you market your product.

Conversion rates have nothing to do w/ links to the site.

I agree with all guys. I think you should concentrate on your onpage and content as well. Also make your navigation easier.

And If we talk about the off page then you should go for the theme based link building. I mean do link building at travel topics..
