Is there a way to automate seo with good results?

You'll get to nowhere if you will rely on something that will things for you. In SEO, doing things manually is still the best thing to do.

If ever I'll use a software to aid me on my SEO work, I'll use semi automated one (at least you still have control over it).

SEO need a good analyzing and should not focus on automation because Google is always updating their algorithm so there is no way to do it automated.

even when u use semi automated one you are just prompt to choose the catergory. however many automated services goes to spam directories which in fact can damage your results

There is no substitute for natural and organic content. While automation can play an important role in blog content, posting original content a few times a week, combined with good SEO, and social media is what will propel your blog to the top (and keep it there!).
