Hey,

Do you guys keep any records of what links you get when you're link building. Have seen a few articles saying it's important to keep note of everything you get/apply for.

e.g. Recording anchor text, PR, anchor text etc...

Also, how do you guys check if you get a link? Analytics from traffic sent, webmaster tools?

I think yes it is very important part in SEO to keep your data updated. because you can measure your own work with this sort of intellectuals. These activity definitely create a hug difference in future when their is no submission but more about analysation .

I'm using web based free tool to track keywords position, keyword traffic and keep any record of added links.
This way a can measure the results

I agree that it is important. I used to keep it my self too and I also check if I get links manually.

I used to use a program called SubmitEaze. It's quite a powerful program for directory and article submitting. Plus it keeps track of everything - especially if you have more than one site.

Back in the day, it was only $39, but I'm sure it's more now - it was only a directory submitter back then. But you get free updates for life. Sure beats manual submissions!

I still have it - why the heck am I not using it more??

Trough Google analytic only.. Hosts also provide some static tool no need to add any script on the site.. but not accurate and perfect like analytic.

I just keep an Excel files with all urls where I submitted my links. It easy to find everything later.

Keep tracking the urls for my links I submitted in excel sheet for easy reference..
