One of my target keyword's search volume is "246,000/month" and my site ranks 2nd position in Google SERP then what will be the estimated traffic to my website? and what will be the CTR for each SERP position?

Search number estimates do NOT EVER match up to actual traffic from search results.

I was one of those suckers that got caught up in that. Now days I take them with a grain of salt. If you ever look at the competition that G Adword KW produces - in my opinoin - that's seems like it's always off base.

all I know the % on how users or possibility to visit your site depending in the position, I guess 1 if 40-45% and second is just 20-25%... so you can still get some visit depending on the actual search that user do.

If your website is ranked at second position, then you must be getting 3-4% of the total search engine volume. CTR of ads would depends upon the position, search volume and name of keywords. if you tale 1000 search volume for reasonably good keyword, then CTR could be 2-3% again depending upon the position of the ad placed.

I heavily recommend that when you use the google adwords keyword tool that you utilize the [exact] mode.

While not accurate 100%, I find it to be reasonably accurate.

Keyword Search Volume is not so accurate, but I think you can get good results

Did you searched for your keyword on exact match?

From my experience the only research i can trust is from exact match on google keyword tool.

It will depends, on your Home Description , if you have a good one you will have more visitors.

The keyword search volumes shown in the keyword tool are over estimated. They are just a rough figure of number of searches done in a specific period of time.
The CTR of a 2nd position is generally 20-30%. But you can improve it by having a catchy Title up front.
Very difficult to estimate the exact figure.

Totally agree....
Even I tried to figure out that for one of my keywords I have seen the search volume in Google Keyword Suggestion Tools is 10000/month. But from last 3 months my website is ranking on the first position for the said keyword but getting on 40-50 visits per day which comes around 1000/month apprx.

Don't understand the search volume is given on what basis.

in my way,the order should be like this :
real and high product<--->keyword(seo)<---Traffic<--->the need,visitors

so the keyword would go ahead of the traffic!

use keyword spy which is best tool to analysis keyword search volume. it shows your competitor also.

If your website content is poor, traffic will be helpless. So just save time to fatasy, try to promote your website first. And i'm sure the result will turned out at the end of the month.
