I think dofollow forum signatures help for SEO. It helps for getting backlinks. make sure you can contibute useful post in forums,users go through your threads and they will check out your website also.

Yes, they are really helpful but a genuine participation and knowledge sharing is the most important part of getting required benefits.

If the forums are related forums means those forums dealing in your site is dealing then it would help you a lot.

True! But, you can't stop people from saying, "dofollow" .

They think that it's better than saying, "I'll sell you a link that isn't nofollow" , Or, they truly believe that dofollow is true.
