if you are giving reference of some other website then it could be fine but don't even think about posting your own URL in description it will be considered spam.
When I contact social bookmark vendors, they ask me to provide keywords and titles. I know title is a link. When I click the title, it will redirect to my homepage. But I don't know what are keywords used for?

True. It would be better if you include the link of the webpage on the source URL instead of putting the link on the description so you can avoid of getting banned with your username/account.
