Search engines are ICANN registrars and privy to domain name registration information. If any of your sites have similar registration information and exchange links, search engines know!
I read the above on another website, so I guess google will ignore exchang links among websites with same registration information by now?

It's wrong.

Google are only ICANN accredited registrars for a few TLDs AND registrars have absolutely no more access to hostnames that are NOT TAGGED to them than any one else using the Whois lookups.

And BTW SEs have absolutely no need at all to use registration data (or IPs) to detect and ignore linking schemes.

Thanks. From your point of view, am I right to conclude that keeping domain register info private is good to interlink one's own websites?

By the way, is there any Google search engine patent showing that 'it don't detect and ignore that way'?

Patents are to protect intellectual property and unique methods of acheiving something.
They are NOT instruction manuals.
