If you want to add your site in Google Adsence then first time your site must be more than 6 months old other wise in SEO there is not any importance of age.

Definitely age of the website is very important,.. Google will consider the age also for assigning a page rank to website..If the website is too old and having a quality back links from different websites then it will definitely have a page rank..

Website Age is given in site analysis.

Here are tools you can choose for checking:

In any Google SEO effort, one of the most important elements that is outside the control of any SEO Expert is the age of your domain name or website. Most people are not aware that the age of your website is an important aspect of Google's PageRank algorithm.Testing has found that using the best Search Engine Optimization practices there is a limit that will be reached as to the keywords that we can reach top 10 results in.

I think you are asking about Domain age.

Yes, as I have mentioned it in other thread, Google always provide first priority to age of the domain because it believes that old aged domains would has some good quality content as it lasts for long time.

Assuming by the just as vague "domain age" you mean registration period, the hostname that I have had registered for eleven years and never been live, will have more "value" with Search Engines than one that has been a live promoted site for just one year?

Not necessarily Chris, what they mean is... If you are using an old domain that means, that domain was used in building links for a long time that's the advantage I'm seeing with this.

Not necessarily. This is where the whole "website age" myth falls apart totally.

Certainly if a site has been live and has been promoted and marketed and therefore built up a "search engine history" it may well have some advantage over a website that has been online only a few months.

BUT this does not relate in any way to the registration dates, a site may have been online for years but if the owner has changed the registration will show the transfer date NOT the original registration. Or as in several of the hostnames I have registered that have never been on line there is no history.
Alternatively a site could have been around for only a year but has been actively promoted in that time and built a solid "reputation"
It's a bit like a credit check. You may have been born 40 years ago but if you have never had any form of credit your score is zero because you have no "credit history"

Like what you said on the first part, but personally, I'm not generalizing it. it can be a factor and it can't be depending on their situations.
