Two questions..

Do i want to do desc/keywords for the iframe content pages?

Ive searched for my site before using google, and the results at the top are the iframe inserts, rather than the main index page. It bothers me that they display without buttons to get to any of the other relevant pages associated with them.

Also, is there a way to put the alt text in so that the keywords still register with search engines, but dont display on mouse hover? They look so messy!

-> a small repost from my review my site thread, as i thought this discussion more appropriate here..

That's what iframes do, the page inside the frame gets indexed independantly

Only IE incorrectly shows the alt attribute text as a "tooltip" add an empty title attribute to stop the behaviour.

BUT the alt attribute is NOT for filling with "SEO Keywords"

So is there a better way to do the same thing without using iframes?
Im happy to accept that seperate indexing cant be helped if there isnt.

Dont worry, I have no intent to fill it, have read that rant elsewhere lol. Thanks for the tip on empty title tags, i have a few of those scattered in my code already and hadnt noticed the difference to be honest

EDIT: Have just checked and they already have an empty title tag in them, but still the same outcome.
