A while ago I made a forum for a friend... Daily it was getting guests on, saying they were google bots, and was getting spamed heavily. Even though it was a bad thing, I knew people could find it.

I started a new forum the other day, and its been up for about a week, and I havent even had a google bot on. The only difference is the first forum was the main domain (something.com) would take you right to the forum. On this one its a sub domain (forum.something.com).

My question is does the sub domain prevent it from being recognized?

I would say that it's going to take google about another couple of weeks to show the sub domain in it's indexes.

you do not need to change domain to stop spamming . instead you can add some of the rules for forum posting. force users to make registration before posting..

you need to start promoting your sub-domain and don,t worry it will shows up in Google just keep doing backlinks to it
