hi,

I own an articles directory. I have more then 10K articles all articles are new and submitted by more then 3K authors. but I lack organic search engine traffic that can produce hadsome money for me

please can you suggest me the best seo strategies for an article directory. I shall be thank full to you

I would recommend article marketing. As an article directory owner you probably already know how effective article marketing can be, not only to build backlinks but also get some direct traffic.

As you mentions that all your content is unique and original than it should rank well in search results. Just make sure your on page SEO is well optimized and encourage your members to build links to their articles.

Yes. Article submission is one of the good processes of extending backlinks.At the time of submission you have to use relevant keywords as anchor texts.

I'll agree with all the above statements - article marketing is the best route to take. I do a lot of article marketing is I think it's a great way to promote your site (also - doing some PR helps as well

Could not disagree more with the "do more article marketing". It is an ok way to get cheap backlinks, but once your website is indexed, really you are only going to be able to control for links that have "article directory" in the anchor.

I would say first, educate your writers to link to their articles, how to use the right titles etc. Try to police for original content. Encourage your writers to write for traffic, ie writing about topical stuff not just how to get rich quick.

Then try to get featured in article directory listing website like directory critic.

Then try to make sure your website is optimised for tags etc.

You have articles on your website but as you said that your website is very new then you can do one thing optimize your website and build high quality back links which can help you to get the ranking for your website.
