everything depend on keyword traffic, local search volume and global search volume. there is two process to promote hundred of keyword.

onpage factor

Onpage should be well optimized. like its title, description, image, heading etc.

Offpage factor

offpage is a all submission work, that include directory, article, PR submission. hyper link should be on keyword.

One needs to target only 5-10 keywords per page & then focus on its ranking. Targeting 100 words is difficult and requires a lot of time.

Well you could target a lot fo keywords together but would take you more time to rank higher for them. However, if you decide to rank higher for 5-10 keywords there is a higher possibility to ranking higher a bit quicker. Schedule your work and be committed, you will be fine.

As usual most of the replies demonstrate exactly how little you know or truly understand about optimising and marketing.

It is far easier to work on HUNDREDS or even THOUSANDS of keywords or phrases than it is to be chasing one or two "most impotrant keywords" and there is only "pressure" when you are trying to show a "client" results for a few phrases.

By working on a lot of words and phrase the increased revenue from the pages speaks for itself.

at a time is not possible for 100 keywords. if you need to target 100 keywords book 4 domain and make 20 pages for each domain and target 100 keywords(each website 25 keywords). you can achieve easily. but for this also you have to wait for the result.not able to do at a time.
