I have listed an offer for 100 PR5+ links Permanent,one-way, Angela/Paulie, Relevant, Indexed, Do Follow links for the website http://www.GreenTextbooks.com

I was hoping to get bids for companies that can trade links with relevant related product websites with the link pages that have actual page ranks. Instead I got 29 bids for blog sites and other spam like pages. Are there any legitimate SEO companies on Freelancer.com?

Many Freelancers have 100 positive feedback and not much work to view. What would a typical price range be for 100 PR5+ links? The quotes I got range from $30-$1,500

Any companies you would recommend?

I know link building and SEO is a long process and takes time to get results so I do not want to waste my time with offers of outdated non white hat tactics that will impede the long term goal.

In my opinion you'd be better off doing all the work yourself. It's extremely hard to find an SEO company that actually does what they say they do.

I have started doing a bit of SEO myself. I cannot figure out the pattern. Why one week my google page rank will show a 4 and the next a 3 or visa versa also I may have more or less Goolge/Yahoo/Bing links etc.
I just don't know what would be the best way to proceed.
The DMOZ.org seems to be a joke I have been waiting for 2 years and no new listings have been added to my category. I have even seen people selling DMOZ listings of freelancer and other sites.

I do not know if even the Yahoo directory still relevant even? Is it worth a $299 fee?

What would be the best approach to focus on trading links etc? -GT

I used to outsource A&P link building for a while on oDesk and has some great link buildings that were pretty cheap. Why not test out one of the cheaper ones and just see what results they bring in. If they don't do what you asked you shouldn't have to pay them anyway.

Just have very specific guidelines.

Save your money! Driving up USELESS toolbar PR will do NOTHING for building website traffic.

I also agree with the matter that increasing your domain's PR alone won;t help that much with gaining better traffic and ranks in the long term. One more thing, forget about buying mass links which are offered as packages. How do you know all those 100 links come from valuable sources? Sometimes gaining even one super link from a relevant page can push your web ranks to the first page of Google.

I guess the best way is to communicate with them. Freelancer.com have a PMB system where you can exchange messages with the different freelancers.

The key to finding good people is to treat the process like you are interviewing them. Ask for their experience and their ideas etc.

I'm outsourcing work from ODesk (actually - just did it today). Tried them last summer and had really good results.

Before you decide to use the services of the SEO company, you should seek review first in google. From the review you can decide whether to use the services of that company or not.

Outsourcing is a business that trust is the first requirement. Business won't grow if you haven't trusted the company that you're working with. This business has it pros and cons, you just need to find the right company, ask for samples and client references so you can decide. There are lots of outsourcing providers who pretend to be the best, that's why you need to be careful and look for the reputable ones.

I suggest to hire a Staff leasing company instead of a freelancer. because leased staff are permanent workers of a company and are easy to reach in case you need them. Freelancers do not have employers so they do as they please and sometimes cannot be contacted for various reasons.

You are definitely right! You can even see some "SEO specialist" posting in some forums and promoting SEO service, and yet in their posts, you'll see them asking such as "what is backlink?"

Yahoo Listing is one of the most reputed listings after Dmoz...
I had submitted 2 of the Escorts Website's there and now they are ranking at the top positions as they got added push from that Yahoo Listing...
