I am working on eCommerce website. On my web site there are many category pages without products.

So, is it advisable to remove that web pages from web site?

All pages were indexed by Google & links are available on home page in drop down navigation, left navigation & footer.

So, Will it create any bad effect on my current organic performance?

Displaying empty pages is of no use to users and it simply wastes bot time, they will eventually be removed from the SEs index and of course will probably never appear again once they have some products on them.
So potentially you are storing up problems for the future.

Chris, speak for yourself...I love empty pages, so I can then "imagine" the perfect content for me...bots don't do this however.

Are you gonna to add products in these catecories? If so, it's no need to remove them, if not, you shouldn't have asked.

Well if they rank for anything, i would keep them and redirect them to more relevant pages.

i am agree with jack98. if the page is listing in keyword then live it. just add some dummy content related to keyword. then redirect to main page

The correct response should be If they get traffic from SE referrals redirect them.

If they have no unique content "ranking" isn't likely to be happening.

If your page contains no information in it then what is the use of it it is advisable to remove it.

Simply Add an article for those empty Categories and whenever necessary the products would be added to them..

Yes,if they have some SE ranking for any keyword then you should redirect them.Also if you have planned to add some products in that pages then you should not remove them otherwise remove them.
