You should be really experienced to give best answers and if you are talking about yahoo answers you should get to level 2, but it's really time consuming and as for me I'd pay more attention to social networking

to post link on such communities that are answer and question related some one must be sufficient level to do that, no link spamming is allowed there, help other people out there and then post your link....

and community links are considered quality links.

If I am not mistaken, you are talking about dedicating some pages or parts of your website to the FAQ areas, like the concept seen in most quality sites, offering valuable information to their visitors. That is a good idea but why do you think such matters might get connected to the search engines optimization world?

By providing people with questions and answers, you may simply receive fewer number of unwanted emails asking you very basic and unimportant questions because visitors can already find the answers provided for them on your site.

He's talking about yahoo answers. This can work - some SEO firms use it - I've used it myself. I sometimes get decent referral traffic from sites like this.

If I am not wrong he is talking about forum participation. If forum doesn't allow you to put signature, you should wait for it and should continue with posting reply and questions until signature appeares. Or you should try other forums whih allows you to put signature. And talking about traffic I don't think you will get a single hit from forum.

in order for you to add a link in answer sites, your postings must first have a reputation.
